LegUpPhotos > "EASTON ASSASSIN" by Chris Guzman (2008) Close-up image taken from the painting entitled "LATE 70'S/EARLY 80'S HEAVIES", of which Holmes was clearly the most dominant. Holmes defended the world heavyweight championship more times than anyone except Joe Louis. Some fighters don't have CAREERS that last seven years, and Larry was CHAMPION that long!
LegUpPhotos > "LATE 70's/EARLY 80's HEAVIES" by Chris Guzman (2008) Larry Holmes, Gerry Cooney, Ken Norton, and Ron Lyle were all big hitters in the heavyweight division during this time period. Lyle signed the original by his image, as did Cooney, but Holmes signed it by Lyle's face, claiming that he "didn't want to mess up his part of the painting". I'll get Norton to sign it this year at the IBHOF Induction Weekend. . . . .
LegUpPhotos > SHANNON BRIGGS by Chris Guzman. Shannon "The Cannon" Briggs is a former heavyweight champion of the world, whose fights with Lennox Lewis, George Foreman, and Sergei Liakhovich will be remembered forever. His size is matched only by his heart, both inside and outside of the ring.
